LA JOLLA (CNS) - A 60-year-old man was arrested for felony hit and run after his vehicle struck a female pedestrian in La Jolla, police said Saturday.
The 77-year-old victim was hospitalized with a broken pelvis, San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims said.
The victim was in a crosswalk on the 6400 block of La Jolla Boulevard when she was struck by the suspect's Ford Expedition, he said.
The driver pulled over, but then left the scene shortly afterward, according to Heims.
He was later arrested for hit and run and DUI, Heims said.
