The first Impossible Science Festival kicks off

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Hundreds of people explored the science behind the seemingly impossible Saturday at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center.

The first 'Impossible Science Festival' began with hands-on, interactive booths based around five themes which include, invisibility, levitation, animation, transformation, and super powers.

The Jason Latimer, who's the curator, says the event is a way to promote education, through curiosity.

"We learn how to turn things invisible, make things levitate, walk on water and through applications of science to show that even though it seems impossible, you can achieve it through a different way of looking at it," Latimer said.

The Impossible Science Festival continues tomorrow from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Ticket prices range from $19 for juniors to $22 for adults.
