SAN DIEGO (CBS 8 /CNS) - President Barack Obama arrived in San Diego County Saturday night for a couple of days of relaxation following a three-stop fundraising trip to Los Angeles.

The president arrived on Air Force One at the Marine Corps Air Station Mira Mar just before the scheduled time of 8 p.m.

Obama planned to spend tonight and Sunday relaxing with his family in upscale Rancho Santa Fe and depart Monday afternoon, media reports said.

During an event in Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles County, Obama singled out Rep. Scott Peters of San Diego, saying he is "one of the finest members of Congress," and praising Peters' votes on trade and equal pay.

"(Peters) not only has a good heart, but knows how to get things done," Obama said.

Rep. Scott Peters traveled to San Diego with President Obama.

According to Peters, President Obama is curious about the future of the San Diego Chargers, but would not issue and executive order to keep them in San Diego.
