SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Hitting a 100 mph pitch with a bat is hard enough, but have you ever considered using a sword?

Sounds crazy, right? Well, a Japanese samurai did just that in this video:

Isao Machii is a 42-year-old master of laido, a Japanese sword-based martial arts. He has a number of videos that have gone viral in which he takes on everything from an 80 mph flying shrimp to BB gun pellets. In June, the samurai went head-to-head in a slicing competition with an industrial robot.

Isao is also a Guinness World Record holder, holding several records  including most martial arts sword cuts to straw mats in three minutes and mastest 1,000 martial arts sword cuts.
