Local French Americans react to deadly Paris attacks

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Friends and relatives are using social media to search for loved ones feared to have been at the sites of the Paris attacks.

On Friday night, San Diegans gathered and shared their concerns over the horrific violence.

The latest deadly attack has many local French-Americans in shock.

In January many gathered in the lawn in front of The House of France in Balboa Park with mourners and supporters in the Charlie Hebdo attacks.

San Diego French-Americans bustled into Hillcrest's French restaurant Au Revoir to send condolences and support to the staff and manager.

"The first thing I did check on my brother. He lives in Paris," said Thomas Bardin, Au Revoir manager.

Bardin said his brother was not injured.

The president of The House of France at Balboa Park said she is still grieving from the deadly terrorist attack on Charlie Hebdo.

"A lot of sadness today. I just hope this won't happen again," said Ingrid Pasco, House of France President.

Local French-Americans said a vigil will be held at The House of France next Friday at 8 p.m.
