Showing support one week after Paris terror attacks

Parisians have sent a clear message, they have taken their city back, and on Friday night San Diegans stood in solidarity one week after the terror attacks.

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Parisians have sent a clear message, they have taken their city back, and on Friday night San Diegans stood in solidarity one week after the terror attacks.

In France, it was a day of solemn reflection, but there has also been celebration of life out in the streets.

San Diegans gathered at the House of France in Balboa Park to honor the 130 victims of the last week's Paris attacks.

Each name of the 130 people killed was read during Friday night's vigil. Mourners embraced each other and they remembered the faces of those killed.

Through pain comes strength for Parisians like Charles Oreve.

"We felt loved just because we were French. I would feel safe anywhere in the world as long as I am at peace with myself and my loved ones," said Oreve.

Still, San Diegans stand with France and remain vigilant.

San Diegans joined Parisians who lit candles, danced in the street or stood in silence.

The French president has extended the state of emergency until February.
