CHULA VISTA (CBS 8) – Neighbors came to the rescue Thursday to help an elderly couple in Chula Vista, after they spotted smoke caused by a small structure fire.
Around 1 p.m., Chula Vista firefighters arrived at 616 G Street to find a shed-type structure engulfed, but had the blaze extinguished 18 minutes later, according to a dispatcher.
The fire caused an estimated $11,250 worth of property loss.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation, the dispatcher said.
