South Park market robbed at gunpoint, police seek suspect

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego police are seeking a rifle-wielding man who robbed a store in South Park Sunday evening. 
   
The suspect, who had his face covered, demanded cash from an employee at Fern Market at 1749 Fern St. around 10:45 p.m. Sunday, San Diego police Sgt. 
David Jennings said.
   
The robber got away with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen headed east on Elm Street, according to the sergeant.
   
Police described the suspect as Hispanic, 30 to 35 years old, 5 feet 2 and 170 pounds. He had a ski mask or bandana over his face and was wearing a yellow or red sweater and dark pants.
