Millie, a 6-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix, is looking for a new best friend. This gorgeous gal was originally transferred to us from another shelter, because she was becoming very stressed in her kennel. Shelters can be a scary place for a dog, and Millie has been working with her trainer on being calm and mellow. Once she gets to now someone, she loves to relax and be your best buddy. We think she will make a wonderful addition to a family who can work on relieving her stress and give her a safe, calm place to call home.
Millie is a smart girl and learns tricks very quickly. Once she trusts her handler, she responds very quickly to directions. While out on walks, she has done well on a loose leash, and will sit and check in with her handler often. With continued positive reinforcement training, Millie will make a wonderful companion for an active home.
Her adoption fee includes her spay, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, 30 days of worry-free medical insurance from Trupanion Insurance, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, and a license if residing in Oceanside, Vista, Escondido, San Marcos or Poway!
