Police seek help looking for suspect in Tapioca Express store robbery

SAN DIEGO (Crime Stoppers/CBS 8) - San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Robbery Unit are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate a suspect wanted for an armed robbery at a Tapioca Express store in the University City area.

On December 18, 2015, at approximately 11:00 p.m., an unknown suspect walked into the Tapioca Express store located at the 7700 block of Regents Road, in San Diego.

The suspect, who was armed with a small black handgun, approached the cashier.

The suspect took cash from the register and walked out of the store. No vehicle was seen leaving the parking lot.

Suspect Description: Asian or Hispanic male, in his 20’s, 5'7" tall, 145 to 150 lbs, black hair, brown eyes, wearing a light grey hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, a green bandana covering his face, and white tennis shoes.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case. Anonymous email and text messages can be sent via www.sdcrimestoppers.org.
