New Year's Resolution: Getting fit in 2016

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Each new year brings in a set of New Year's resolutions with the most popular being: Getting in Shape.

Personal trainer Gina Valenzuela of 24 Hour Fitness in Kearny Mesa suggests to get involved in a workout class in order to reach your fitness goals.

"Classes help keep you on track, there is camaraderie and accountability, while at the same time flexibility," Valenzuela said.

One newer class at 24 Hour Fitness is the "Shockwave" class, which provides an efficient total-body workout using a special row machine. It's a combination of movement including row, lift, and press, which rotate in a class of about 20 people.

The class is free to members and no sign-up is required.
