SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A benefit concert in honor of Mister Padre Tony Gwynn rocked the Poway Center for the Performing Arts Friday night.
Some of Gwynn's former teammates attended Friday's fundraiser, including Trevor Hoffman and Mark. Tony's widow Alicia says its special to have Gwynn honored in Poway because the city meant so much to him.
The event also features a live auction with Gwynn memorabilia with all proceeds going to the new Tony Gwynn memorial, which was unveiled after the concert.
