SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A fire of unknown origin spread through a Mira Mesa home Tuesday morning, causing an estimated $100,000 worth of damage and displacing two residents.

The non-injury blaze erupted in a front room of the single-family home in the 10900 block of Worthing Avenue about 6 a.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. It took crews about 15 minutes to subdue the flames.

The two adults who live at the address were able to arrange for interim housing on their own, SDFRD spokesman Lee Swanson said.

Investigators set the monetary losses at $75,000 to the structure and $25,000 to contents.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation at midday.
