SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A rollover crash on a local freeway early Thursday morning ends with both the driver arrested, as well as, the Good Samaritan who stopped to help.

California Highway Patrol says a man driving a Nissan Versa flipped his car on its roof after crashing on the 6th Avenue ramp to the 163 Freeway in Hillcrest.

The Good Samaritan who tried to do the right thing pulled over to assist, but was soon arrested on suspicion of DUI.

He was hurt, started crying and questioned why the officer was placing him in handcuffs. CHP says he failed a breathalyzer test.

The car that stopped in Hillcrest had three passengers inside. CHP says one of them was sober and able to drive everyone home.

Meantime, the driver of the Nissan and the Good Samaritan are behind bars and face possible DUI charges.

CHP urged drivers to be careful of the slick roads and freeways.
