NATIONAL CITY (CBS8/CNS) - A man was stabbed to death Saturday night following a fight in front of a 7-Eleven store in National City.
Police were called to the scene after a report of a possible shooting or stabbing in the area of 43rd and Delta Streets at about 11:30 p.m. Officers found the stabbing victim nearby in the 200 block of North Highland Avenue.
Eduardo Ortega, Jr., 25, of San Diego, was taken by paramedics to a local hospital, bleeding from stab wounds. He died shortly after midnight.
Witnesses told police they saw Ortega fighting with a Hispanic man before the stabbing. The suspect was described as being about six feet tall, medium build and about 30 years old.
