LEMON GROVE (CNS) - A shooting in an East County commercial district left a man wounded Tuesday morning.
The gunfire in the area of Broadway and Citrus Street in Lemon Grove was reported shortly after 11 a.m., according to sheriff's officials. Medics took the victim to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego. His identity and condition were not immediately available.
Deputies fanned out around the site of the shooting in search of the assailant, who remained at large as of midday.
The circumstances that led to the shooting were unclear.
