Fatal shooting in Emerald Hills under investigation

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A man who was shot in broad daylight has died now two suspects are wanted for murder.

A 46-year-old was working on his car at a park near Kelton Road in Emerald Hills just after 5:00 p.m. Sunday, which is when police said two teens walked up to him and opened fire. Investigators said they believe he was targeted.

Friends transported the victim to a nearby hospital, but that hospital didn't have a trauma center so an ambulance rushed him to another hospital. He died a short time later.

Witnesses said the suspects fled the scene in a dark Nissan. They were described as wearing black hoodies and dark pants.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to call the San Diego Police Department.
