SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Not everyone used the rain as an opportunity to save water.
A CBS News 8 viewer saw Cal Trans sprinklers up and running during a downpour, and she took pictures.
The viewer took the pictures of Cal Trans watering ice plants off Interstate-5 at the Lomas Santa Fe exit during Friday morning's storm.
According to the state agency, the sprinklers are on a timer and it was not manually turned off before the storm, but currently are turned off.
