CAMP PENDLETON (CNS) - A brush fire burning in the northern reaches of Camp Pendleton was 92 percent contained Monday morning.
About 1,245 open acres have been blackened since the blaze ignited off Roblar and Case Springs roads Thursday afternoon, according to military and state fire officials. No structures have been threatened.
The cause of the blaze, dubbed the Roblar Fire, was not immediately clear, though it is not uncommon for fires to be sparked at the Marine base by live-ammunition weapons training.
With just a week to go, many people across the U.S. are buzzing about the "Great American Eclipse."
