SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Local firefighters spent Sunday battling a blaze set in an abandoned building part of a nine-hour series of firefighting training exercises.
The drills took place at the once prominent Playhouse on Plaza building in National City and several local fire departments participated. No other structures were damaged in the fire. The Lamb's Player Theater moved from the Playhouse in National City to Coronado in 1994.
