Woman slams car through bar in Talmadge

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A woman accused of slamming her car through a bar patio has been captured by police Wednesday.

Police confirm that shortly after 4:00 a.m. they found the woman passed out in her car, still behind the wheel at the 5100 block of Trojan Avenue.

The arrest was made six blocks from where the incident took place at the 'Last Call' bar at the 4900 block of El Cajon Boulevard in Talmadge. Witnesses say it was explosive as people jumped out of the way.

Police report that a man and woman got into an argument around 2:30 a.m. at the last call bar in the Talmadge neighborhood.

The man was outside near the wooden patio deck when the woman apparently got angry, stormed off and got into her car.

Police say she tried to run him over, but he managed to jump out of the way as her car crashed into the patio bar.

Witnesses say a few patrons also avoided being hit.

The silver or grey sedan had a flat tire and started leaking fluids on the street as it took off going eastbound on El Cajon Boulevard. One patron says the car was speeding and blew through red lights.

The woman was taken into custody. The man involved in the argument may have suffered minor injuries.

Police say the car may be stolen and they're testing the suspect for drugs and alcohol.
