CHULA VISTA (CBS 8) - The Chula Vista City Council heard an appeal Tuesday night from residents opposed to a proposed development in their neighborhood.
The Vista Del Mar project is planned for the corner of Third Avenue and K Street.
The development would range from three to five stories and include 71 condos and a commercial building.
Residents in a nearby neighborhood said the development is 23,000-square-feet larger than zoning allows.
They are worried it will change the character of their community.
The City's Planning Commission approved the project in June.
