SPRING VALLEY (CNS) - A brush fire that burned about 26 acres and prompted evacuations in a neighborhood north of Sweetwater Reservoir in Spring Valley was 80 percent contained Thursday morning.
Authorities evacuated homes on Pointe Parkway, Ledgeside Street, California Waters Drive and Pleasant Waters Court after the so-called Pointe Fire began spreading late Wednesday afternoon, but the order has been lifted, according to Cal Fire.
Medics took one firefighter to a hospital for treatment of a snakebite.

Cal Fire officials later said he was "doing great.''
