Motorcyclist killed in deadly Miramar crash

A motorcyclist was killed Friday afternoon in a collision with a car at a Miramar-area intersection.

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 52-year-old man was killed Friday afternoon when the motorcycle he was operating collided with a car at a Miramar-area intersection.

The rider was eastbound in the 9200 block of Miramar Way just after 3:30 p.m. when a 26-year-old woman driving a 2014 Toyota four-door turned left in front of him at the intersection of Kearny Villa Road, "violating the motorcycle's right of way," according to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.

"The motorcycle hit the right front corner of the car, ejecting the motorcyclist, who died at the scene," Heims said.

The woman was uninjured.

The fatal crash was being investigated by the SDPD's Traffic Division, Heims said.
