SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Family and friends came together Saturday to mark the one year anniversary of the hit and run death of a teenager in Chula Vista.
Anthony Hofer was killed while walking near Sleep Train Amphitheater last summer.

His body was found by a jogger in the 2300 block of Heritage Road shortly after 7 a.m. on Aug. 27, according to police. No arrests were ever made.

Anthony's mother Stacey says she still can't believe what happened to her son.

"It's been like a living nightmare and every day you wake up and think like did that really happen." Stacey said. "I know somebody out there know something so I'm just hoping that somebody comes forward."

The victim's family is offering a $10,000 reward in conjunction with San Diego County Crime Stoppers for information leading to an arrest.

Anyone with information about the case was asked to call the nonprofit investigative agency at (888) 580-8477 or contact it online at Tipsters may remain anonymous.
