SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The Park View All-Stars returned home after their run at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

After three weeks on the road, the boys landed in San Diego Monday evening and received a warm welcome form their parents and fans.

"When I saw my family, I kind of got a little bit emotional because we knew that everyone here was supporting us the beginning," left-field Santiago Garcia.

Park View Little League was eliminated from the Little League World Series last Tuesday night with a 4-2 extra-inning loss to its counterpart from the Goodlettsville Baseball Little League of Goodlettsville, Tennessee.

"It's once in a lifetime, that probably will not ever happen again. I am very happy and proud," said first-baseman and pitcher, Adriel Comenero.

"They took all of us, not just the coaches but the community - the parents, grandparents on a ride of a lifetime," said, George Camarillo, Park View Manager.

New York beat South Korea and won the Little League World Series.

A welcome home party for Park View Little League will take place Thursday from 5:30 p.m., to 7:00 p.m., on their home field at the Greg Rogers Park in Chula Vista.
