SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Two drivers were fatally injured in a collision Friday morning at a San Carlos-area intersection.
An 88-year-old woman in an eastbound Toyota Prius ran a red light at intersection of Navajo Road and Park Ridge Boulevard and crashed into a northbound Toyota Camry shortly after 6:30 a.m., San Diego police officer Frank Cali said.
She and the 76-year-old woman behind the wheel of the Camry were taken to hospitals, but both later died, according to the officer. Neither woman's name was immediately available.
The road crossing remained closed for investigation and cleanup until about 11 a.m., Cali said.
