EL CAJON (CNS) - A man walking in traffic on Interstate 8 in the Bostonia area was fatally struck by a vehicle, authorities said Monday.
The driver of the vehicle was unable to avoid the pedestrian on the eastbound freeway approaching Greenfield Drive and crashed into him shortly before midnight. The gravely injured pedestrian was taken to a hospital, where he later died, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Kevin Pearlstein.
