LA JOLLA (CNS) - Two would-be robbers who broke into a La Jolla home Wednesday morning fled upon encountering a resident.
A man told police he heard glass break shortly before 8 a.m., then saw two gun-wielding suspects in their late teens or early 20s inside his home in the 7900 block of Avenida Alamar, San Diego police Officer Luis Roman said.
The suspects left empty-handed, and weren't located in a subsequent search of the neighborhood, he said.
A witness described the suspects' vehicle as a dark blue or purple 1990 to 2000 Honda or Toyota sedan with tinted windows, Roman said. A detailed description of the suspects was not immediately available.
