Chapita: Sweet puppy needs help tender care

Posted: Updated:

Breed: Dogo Argentino
Age: 10 months old
Gender: Spayed female
ID #: 223781
Adoption Fee: Waived

Chapita, a 10-month-old Dogo Argentino mix, is looking for a family to share her love. When she first entered our care, she was having difficulty walking on her front leg and needing immediate medical attention. Her medical team quickly discovered that she has arthritis, and after rest and medication to manage her pain, Chapita was back to herself in no time!

This sweet girl has been calm, quiet, social and gentle while in our care. She loves getting pet and is eager to please her humans. Chapita’s ideal family will be a loving patient home who can keep her at a healthy weight and a moderately active lifestyle to help manage her medical condition. As she ages, she will likely need ongoing medical care and pain medication to keep her happy and healthy.

Because Chapita may need ongoing medical care, we’re waiving her adoption fee. This waived fee includes her spay, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, 30 days of complimentary medical insurance from Trupanion insurance, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, and a license if residing in Oceanside, Vista, Escondido, San Marcos or Poway!

In 2006, the city of San Diego began allowing political campaigns to electronically file their financial reports, giving the public easy access to information on money in city politics. The county of San Diego wasn’t as quick to make the same kind of information available and continues to lag behind the city’s efforts.
