SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego police were investigating a midnight-hour home invasion robbery in Mission Valley, where a suspect pointed a gun at a resident and fled with her purse.

A man climbed onto a second story apartment balcony at The Missions at Rio Vista apartment complex in the 2200 block of Gill Village Way shortly after midnight and kicked in the balcony door to get inside, according to officer Ben Newton.
