SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 17-year-old boy was shot twice in his arms as he walked past a late-evening party in Chollas Creek, but the wounds were not life- threatening, police said Sunday.

The shooting was in the 3600 block of Alta Dena Avenue shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday, according to San Diego Police Officer Ben Newton.

As the victim was walking past the party, a suspect began staring at him, showed the victim a gun, then fired several rounds at the victim. Gunshots hit the boy in the right bicep and left forearm, Newton said.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, and officers said was unable to describe the suspect to police.
