SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A woman who was shot in the chest as she was driving along a busy street in North Park Saturday afternoon pulled over and called police.
Officers and paramedics responded to the 4200 block of Iowa Street near El Cajon Boulevard at 1:30 p.m., according to Officer Tony Martinez of the San Diego Police Department.
The woman was taken to a hospital by ambulance with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Officers closed off the block on Iowa Street and parts of El Cajon Boulevard between 30th Street and Iowa Street, Martinez said.
The woman told police she was shot while driving along El Cajon Boulevard.
No suspect information was released by police.
