Pedestrian struck and killed in Lincoln Park

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man who died Saturday in Lincoln Park after a vehicle struck him was not using the crosswalk, a San Diego Police Department official said.

At 1:23 p.m., the man entered the 5000 block of Logan Avenue by walking between two cars, officer Tony Martinez said. A woman driving a Nissan Xterra west on Logan Avenue was unable to stop and hit the man, Martinez said.

The unidentified man, who was in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

It is unclear if the driver will face any changes.

The SDPD's Traffic Division is investigating the accident.
