Esports Interactive Platform (EIP) is developing a blockchain based platform to enable direct interaction between brands, teams and audience in the esports sector.
Llandrindod Wells, United Kingdom – April 24, 2018 /PressCable/ —
Esports are continually evolving, global representation has grown massively as has prize money. Different games popularity, and how we play and interact with each other within them has changed dramatically. Improvements in technology has helped make this possible, and there is also the social culture that has formed esports as we know it today.
This has created a massive global market of fans projected to reach 600 million by 2020 by Newzoo, the games industry researcher. This is of huge interest to sponsors and marketers. Originally sponsorship came from related brands, such as gaming and PC peripherals, but as esports has grown and crossed into the maintstream, big spending brands such as Gillete, Coca-Cola and Audi are now involved.
However, there are problems for brands and companies wishing to enter the esports market.
One is that brands do not understand the esport audience and the market itself. There are so many game titles, genres, leagues, tournaments and teams that understanding the best channels to reach the audience can be intimidating. There is also a general understanding of the esports audience. They are known to be a media savvy community who are very critical and opposed to marketing.
Another is that the market is fragmented. A large proportion of the marketing budget is taken by various intermediaries and agents. This also makes it difficult for small teams, beginning streamers and tournaments of local importance, who do not get access to the budgets of large companies.
Esports Interactive Platform (EIP) is developing a large-scale project based on the blockchain system, which will allow for sponsors, brands, gamers and esports fans to connect directly with each other. The goal of EIP is to replace the current situation with more personalized and efficient direct marketing. This will also allow the audience to get the opportunity to participate in the development of esports.
Advanced data management and analysis, made possible by blockchain and smart contracts, will allow brands to effectively understand and target their desired audience segment. They will be able to measure the effectiveness of their investments and identify new opportunities within the esports marketplace.
EIP will optimize expenses for sponsorship by increasing its efficiency and increasing profitability for each partner. Trust and transparency are utmost in the philosophy of the project and all transactions, because it is based on the blockchain system and smart contracts. The aim is to develop the future of marketing in esports to the benefits of all parties.
