LOS ANGELES - According to a report from the L.A. Times, the West Hollywood City Council will vote Monday on a proposal to have President’s Trump’s star be permanently removed from the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

West Hollywood Mayor Pro Tem John D’Amico along with Councilwoman Lindsey Horvath presented the resolution to have the star taken out “due to (Trump’s) disturbing treatment of women and other actions.”

The Walk of Fame is a popular tourist destination located in Hollywood, California.

President Trump’s Walk of Fame star was received in 2007 for his work as a producer and host of "The Apprentice.”

According to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which operates the Walk of Fame and determines who gets a star, "Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk."

On July 25, Trump’s star was vandalized by twenty-four-year-old Austin Clay who took a pickax to the marker. Clay was charged with one felony count of vandalism.

Trump's star was previously vandalized by a man swinging a sledgehammer and pickax days before the November 2016 election.
