Sycuan Casino begins hiring for 700 new positions

SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) — Looking for a job? Sycuan Casino is hiring and they're hoping to fill hundreds of positions.

The variety of new positions are in the food and beverage, hotel and casino divisions, according to the East County casino.

On Thursday, Sycuan held the first of three job fairs to staff its expanded resort set to open next year.

Sycuan said many of the job fairs will have managers on site to interview candidates and make on-the-spot job offers for some departments.

"I started my career at Sycuan in 1993 as a Bingo Pull Tabs Clerk," said John Dinius, general manager at Sycuan Casino. "Many of our managers have been promoted from within and 40 percent of our team members have worked at Sycuan for over 10 years. There is tremendous opportunity for employees to grow, develop and have long and fulfilling careers at Sycuan."

The next two job fairs will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 9 the South County Career Center in Chula Vista, and Wednesday, Oct. 10 at Grossmont College.

Anyone interested in applying is encouraged to bring copies of their resume.
