SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - Three major freeway closures across San Diego County will put the brakes on several routes from east to west this weekend.
The first closure is the eastbound SR-94 connector to southbound SR-125 on Saturday, September 22. The pavement repair project will take place from 3:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. A detour will take drivers from SR-94 to Campo Road to Spring Street and then back on SR-125 south.
Also on Saturday, all westbound lanes of SR-52 will close between SR-163 and I-805. Pavement dips are scheduled to be repaired starting Saturday at 8:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday.
The connector ramps from northbound and southbound I-15 and SR-163 and the Kearny Villa Road on-ramp to westbound SR-52 will also be closed.
The last project will occur on Sunday on I-5 just beneath the Gilman Drive Bridge. Crews building the Mid Coast Trolley line will close all lanes to remove falsework from just below the bridge. Work starts at 9:30 p.m. Sunday and will continue until 5:00 a.m. Monday.
