SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego State has suspended one of its fraternities, the university announced in a statement late Friday.

SDSU moved to enact the suspension after it began investigating an incident in which someone at a fraternity house near campus had to be given medical assistance, the statement said.

University officials would not release the name of the fraternity or when the alleged incident occurred when reached by City News Service.

Officials also did not disclose any further details on the nature of the incident.

The university has reached out to the person involved in the incident, as well as the person's family, officials said.

"The health and well-being of all members of the campus community is of utmost importance to San Diego State University," the email statement said.
