One news outlet is getting dragged for roasting the nuptials of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

“Is Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' love for real?” blared the headline on New York magazine’s website The Cut.

The couple was married last weekend in both a traditional Indian ceremony and a Western wedding.

The controversial article, which has since been pulled down following outrage, stated: “Nicholas Jonas married into a fraudulent relationship against his will."

The article suggested that Chopra and her team targeted Jonas because of his fame.

"All Nick wanted was a possible fling with Hollywood’s latest 'it woman,' but instead he wound up staring straight at a life sentence with a global scam artist,” the article said.

Backlash was swift.

Nick’s brother, Joe, called it “disgusting.”

"Disgusting. @thecut should be ashamed to have someone write such evil words. What Nick & Pri have is beautiful love. Thank u, next,” he tweeted.

Joe's fiancée, "Game of Thrones" actress Sophie Turner, was also outraged.

"Wildly inappropriate and totally disgusting. Very disappointed that the cut would give anyone a platform to spew such bulls***,” she wrote.

After the worldwide blowback, the article was taken down and replaced with an apology.

“We're sorry. The whole piece missed the mark. There is no good explanation for this other than human error and poor judgement. This was a mistake, and we apologize to our readers and to Priyanka and Nick,” it said.

For her part, Chopra released a statement Thursday saying:  "I don't even want to react or comment. It's not even in my stratosphere. I'm in a happy place at this moment. These kind of random things can't disturb it."
