San Diego Fire-Rescue Dept. - Free Sandbags

As a courtesy to the public, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department is providing free sandbags at selected locations * as is normally done when the city is facing the potential of major rainfall.

Sandbags are available at:

* Mission Beach Lifeguard Headquarters, located on the boardwalk behind Belmont Park

* Pacific Beach Fire Station 21, 750 Grand Ave.

* Kearny Mesa Fire Station 28, 3880 Kearny Villa Rd.

* San Ysidro Fire Station 29, 198 W. San Ysidro Blvd.

* Scripps Ranch Fire Station 37, 11640 Spring Canyon Rd.

* Tierrasanta Fire Station 39, 4949 La Cuenta Dr.

Please note: The sandbags are empty. During storm situations, the Lifeguard Service does allow the public to use sand from city beach to fill sandbags.
