Storm Leaves Damage Across San Diego

Posted: Updated:

From snow to rain and strong winds, San Diego took quite a hit from Monday's storm. Wind gusts reached upwards of 25-miles-per-hour at Lindbergh Field.

In fact, those winds proved to be too much for one eucalyptus tree in North Park, as it toppled over and crushed a car.

"I heard this sound, this tremendous big sound and it bounced off the walls, and the house shook," said North Park resident Dianne Lopez-Lay.

The California Highway Patrol says it responded to twice as many accidents as they get on a typical rain-free day.

Most of the accidents were blamed on speed.
