Assemblywoman Warns Financial Crisis Won't End with New Budget

Posted: Updated:
Local assemblywoman Lori Saldana has just returned from Sacramento, where she and other California lawmakers passed the state budget.

Saldana said the plan to close California's $42 billion budget gap was full of difficult compromises. But it was a necessary step to get the state's economy back on track.

She also said residents can expect budget debates to drag on each year, as long as a two-thirds "super-majority" is required to pass the state spending plan.
