A contamination warning is in effect at the Oceanside Harbor, after a sewage spill.
More than 1,000 gallons of sewage escaped from a sewer line Wednesday. Crews were able to recover about 400 gallons, but the other 600 entered the harbor through a storm drain.
Environmental officials say the spill shouldn't affect the harbor's eco-system, but they are concerned about people working on boats who could be exposed.
The warning is expected to last several days.
