FBI Arrests 5 for Supplying Meth to East County Gangs

Posted: Updated:
FBI officials reported that five people arrested on suspicion of supplying methamphetamine to East County gangs were in custody.

Arrested were Diane Pinal, 40; Felipe Lopez-Lopez, 23; Augustine Jaime Lopez-Cevallo, 38; Rafael Gaspar Alvarado, 26; and a boy whose name was withheld because he is a juvenile, FBI agent Darrell Foxworth said.

Agents seized about three pounds of methamphetamine, as well as three rifles, four 12-gauge shotguns and three pistols, he said.

An undercover agent made buys from all five suspects, Foxworth said.

The arrests were made by the East County Regional Gang Task Force, which had search warrants for several addresses in Spring Valley and El Cajon.

The adults were taken to the federal Metropolitan Correctional Center downtown, and the boy was taken to a juvenile lockup.
