“I have no special talents, I am only passionately curious.”  ~Albert Einstein

Kyle Kraska LOVES sports almost as much as he loves his community of San Diego. For more than 20 years, Kyle has enthusiastically covered the greatest events in America’s Finest City.  From Super Bowls to the opening of Petco Park to Baseball and Football Hall of Fame Ceremonies to Aztecs Bowl Games and NCAA Tournaments, Kyle has been there live and delivered it to San Diego as only he can.

A graduate of Syracuse University’s prestigious Newhouse School of Communications, Kyle began his broadcasting career in Watertown, New York as weekend Sports Anchor.  From there, he moved to Sarasota, FL, then El Paso, TX, on to Albany, NY, before heading back down south to Tampa, FL. Soon thereafter, Hollywood came calling and Kyle became the host of the nationally syndicated news magazine show, Hard Copy. In 1999, Kyle joined the CBS News 8 Family here in San Diego and quickly realized that there was no place he would rather be.

Kyle has been honored with many awards for broadcasting excellence including Associated Press Awards, New York State Broadcasters Awards, Golden Mic Awards and he is a 3-time Emmy Award Winner.  But he is most proud of the Gift of Life Award he was presented by the American Red Cross for creating the “Celebration of Heroes Blood Drive” which garnered over 400 units in its inaugural year.

When Kyle is not doing his thing on TV, he can be found on the golf course, snowboarding down a mountain, playing one of his guitars or out and about at a local music venue.  He loves hearing feedback from viewers, so feel free to get social with Kyle on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter or send Kyle an email (kyle@kfmb.com) and say hello.
