Teresa Sardina

Teresa Sardina is a general assignment reporter for KFMB-TV San Diego, California.

“I’m so happy to be reporting in my hometown, it’s been a longtime goal.”

Teresa came from Fresno where she entertained and impacted the Central Valley as a morning lifestyle reporter, breaking news reporter and midday anchor at KSEE24-TV and CBS47. Teresa received the “40 Under 40” award by Business Street Online where she was recognized for her leadership and community involvement as a media professional in Central California. She hosted and produced a weekly TV education series: ‘Education Matters’ highlighting educators in the region.

Prior to Fresno, Teresa served as a weekend morning anchor, producer, and weekday reporter at KETK-TV in Tyler, TX. Teresa’s reports included community and education stories, breaking news, tornados in North Texas and she was also selected to cover and witness an execution at the Huntsville Unit death chamber at the Texas State Penitentiary in Huntsville, TX.

Teresa graduated from the Communications School at California State University, Fullerton. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. Before her on-air career, she gained hands-on news experience as an intern and production assistant at KUSI in San Diego and KNBC Los Angeles.

Off-camera, Teresa spends a lot of her time at the beach with her husband. She enjoys running, playing and watching sports, cooking, reading to students, spending time with her big family and friends. Teresa grew up in Clairemont and graduated from Madison High School. Her husband Zach also grew up in the same town and calls her love story: Hometown Love.
