On Tuesday morning, The Good Place actress D’Arcy Carden and The Masked Singer judge Ken Jeong announced the nominees for the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards live from Wolf Theatre at the Television Academy’s Saban Media Center in Los Angeles, California.

As expected, Game of Thrones and Veep are among the top nominees, leading the drama and comedy categories, respectively. The two HBO series both ended celebrated runs this spring and are hoping to go out on top in their final year of competition. Meanwhile, RuPaul’s Drag Race continues to build on its historic run at the Emmys following its Outstanding Competition Program win last year.

In addition to the frontrunners, several series -- including Schitt's Creek, Fleabag, The Good Place and Succession -- took advantage of the unusual amount of open slots in some of the awards’ top categories, picking up major nominations.

The 71st Primetime Emmy Awards will be handed out live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 22 on Fox. Check out the full list of nominees below and check out ET Live and ETonline for ongoing coverage of the awards.
