This dad was "just waiting for a chance to blow up." And he certainly did.
Collin Hayslett just wanted to give a shoutout to his dad, Clint, with a nice tweet. Clint, 45, was apparently interested in modeling. So Collin shared a few photos of his old man smiling in front of the camera, gazing off into the distance and smoldering behind mirrored sunglasses.
"I love seeing him do something that he loves finally," Collin told Inside Edition. But he had no idea that in just two days, his post would be liked more than 370,000 times and shared more than 81,000 times.
My dad is 45, pursuing a modeling career, and I’ve never seen him happier. He told me he’s just waiting for a chance to blow up. So, Twitter, meet my dad. pic.twitter.com/zYSmZGbPCn— Collin (@coolcat_collin) March 28, 2019
"I am mind blown ... the love that this tweet has gotten," Collin told Inside Edition.
Clint said he's found a new confidence in himself, thanks to his son's stunt.
"I went 45 years without really believing in myself. I didn't have confidence. And I just really recently have been able to see that something can happen with this," Clint said.
Collin can attest to that.
"I feel like it's just a new dad, to be honest with you," he said.
The father-son moment turned into an instant meme, with people sharing their own dad photos with the same caption. Even "Hamilton" creator Lin-Manuel Miranda showed his dad some love.
