SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. — Avoid the headaches and plan before heading to this weekend’s Wonderfront Festival in downtown San Diego.
The festival will run from Friday to Sunday.
While rideshare services are popular, Wonderfront will not have designated drop-off, pickup locations. The festival is encouraging attendees to be dropped off or picked up around the Gaslamp District.
Taking Amtrak/ the Coaster?
Passengers can get off at the Santa Fe Train Depot in downtown San Diego. The train station is three blocks from the Broadway Port Pier entrance gates. This is a highly recommend option for folks coming from North County or out of town. You don’t have to worry about parking and you can literally walk into the festival the moment you get off the train.

Festival-goers are also encouraged to use MTS.
Green Line: Santa Fe Depot (Broadway Port Pier entrance gates).
- Seaport Village (Seaport Village/Embarcadero Marina Park North/Ruocco Park entrance gates).
- Gaslamp Quarter (Embarcadero Marina Park South entrance gates).
Blue Line: America Plaza Station (Broadway Port Pier entrance gates).
Orange Line: Courthouse Station (Broadway Port Pier entrance gates).
There will also be an Old Town Trolley Shuttle for all three days of the festival that will include three pick-up/drop-off points:
Broadway Port Pier, The Headquarters cut-in off Harbor Drive and then on Convention Center Way behind Convention Center right in front of the Staff Pro security trailer just before the entrance to Embarcadero South Park.
The shuttle will pick up passengers every 15 minutes. Service will start on Friday at 3:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.
On Saturday and Sunday, service will be from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
If you insist on driving (don’t drink and drive) you can purchase a parking pass.
If parking passes are sold out, drivers can in lots and garages around the downtown area.
There is a Wonderfred Shuttle service that will can take passengers between Broadway Port Pier, The Headquarters at Seaport Village, Hilton Bayfront Park and back again. Pickups will happen every three minutes.
The festival will also have water taxis that will run between the 5th Avenue landing dock at the Marriott Marina and back out to Broadway Port Pier.
